The Scrapbook Store - Blue Fern Studios - Attic Charm Collection

Hi Everyone,

This month at The Scrapbook Store I have been creating with the gorgeous Blue Fern Studios - Attic Charm Collection.  A beautiful shabby chic/romantic range in soft pastel tones which Blue Fern Studios do so well.

"You Put the Light in my Life"
Here is my final layout for this month, using layers, a touch of mixed media and a smattering of pretty flowers.

Blue Fern Studios have released several new flower packs.  The beautiful rose is from the Glitter Rose pack.

The pretty floral diecuts were cut from the reverse of the 'Calling Cards' pp with the Memory Box Floral Sprig Die, with Kaisercraft pearls in snow for the flower centres.

For my background I have used the lovely Dusty Attic Creative Script Stencil, highlighted with Lindy's Stamp Gang Blingy Blond Starburst Mist and then stamped over in Ranger Rose Madder Archival Ink with the Kaisercraft Hessian Texture Stamp.

Blue Fern Attic Charm Collection - The Scrapbook Store

Hi all,

This month for The Scrapbook Store I get to create with the gorgeous Blue Fern Studios Attic Charm Collection and I have a layout to share.

All You Need is Love
To create this layout I have used the reverse of the 'Calling Cards' pp for my background with the torn section of  the 'Attire' pp over the top and some fussy cut elements from the 'Mercantile' and 'Calling Cards' pp.
Blue Fern Studios have released these pretty rose flower packs.  I used the soft pink one from the pack and teamed it with a couple of daisies from the Blue Fern daisy flower pack and Green Tara cherry blossoms.
The Blue Fern Floral Lattice Bits chipboard was used on my background and altered by embossing with Lindy's Stamp Gang C'est La Vie Cerise for a gorgeous glossy finish.  I then randomly glued some seed beads in amongst the lattice bits.

To create my title I have stamped a sentiment from the Kaisercraft Together Sentiment Stamp Set onto the bottom strip of the pp which I have recycled, as well as the cute stitched heart stamp from the Gabrielle Pollaco - Gabis Circle Stitch Stamp Set.

Mademoiselle and Bon Appetite Kaisercraft Collections and a Sad Farewell

Hi everyone,

When I opened my parcel of Kaisercraft goodies, I instantly fell in love with the 'Mademoiselle' collection.  The soft pinks and creams with the vintage theme are a perfect match for my shabby chic style, so I decided to create 2 layouts and a thank you card with this gorgeous range.

 “Cherish”
For this layout I wanted to create a soft and dreamy feel, by using the creamy coloured pp's which I combined with hints of pink.  My background was stencilled with the pretty Damask Quarters Template and texture paste and whilst the medium was wet I sprinkled with some shabby embossing powder and heat set.
The gorgeous large flourishes decorative die (one of my all time favs) goes beautifully with this shabby chic feminine collection.

Kaisercraft Product:  Mademoiselle – Paper – P2124 Floral Spray, P2125 Flutter, P2130 Couture, P2132 Lady Like | CT860 Collectables | FL578 Flourish Pack – Antiques | T621 Template - Damask Quarters | DD757 Decorative Die – Large Flourishes | KM115 Kaisermist - Candy | T331 Sanding Block | T303 Foam Tape | Other Product:  shimmer medium, embossing powder

“Time Has a Wonderful Way of Showing Us What Really Matters”
To create my background, I have used the lovely crackle template and accented the masking with microbeads for added texture.
I love to mix my Kaisermists to create new colours, and have made a soft pink and soft brown by mixing my Kaisermists with a touch of white.  I combined white with candy to create a pastel pink, and white with coffee to create a soft brown.  I sprayed my background with water then applied the soft pink mist with a brush to create a watercolour effect.  Once dry, I flicked over with white and soft brown mist.
How pretty is the new detailed doily decorative die!! I teamed it with fussy cut flowers and butterflies to frame my photo.

“Garden Fresh”
Trying to find photos to go with the 'Bon Appetit' collection, I came across these old pics of Brittany with her Aunty Jen picking greens and veges from the vege patch for our dinner.  Whilst we were on holidays, she took great delight in venturing out every day to forage in the garden.
The green leafy botanical pp's caught my eye and teamed with the lovely woodgrain pp went beautifully with my photos.
I used Kaisermists toned down with a bit of water to paint my vege collectables.

Altered Notebook “Recipes”
My daughter is constantly asking me to write out her favourite family recipes. so I decided to create a quick and easy little Recipe Notebook to record them in and keep for that time in the not too distant future when she leaves the family nest.  I just purchased an inexpensive notebook which I covered, then used the cute little tabs and stickers from the 12x12 sticker sheet to decorate.

The Scrapbook Store - Blue Fern Studios Attic Charm Collection

Hi Everyone,
Today I am sharing my second layout for The Scrapbook Store using the gorgeous Blue Fern Studios Attic Charm Collection.

A few months ago my beautiful furbaby Millie passed away, and I have only just recently been able to look at photos of her, as they always made me feel so sad.  I miss having her around me and being my constant companion.  This photo evokes memories of her always wanting to snuggle up beside me on the couch and start her rumbling and comforting purr, which would always lift my spirits when I was feeling a bit blue.
Treasure the Memories
I have chosen to go for soft, sweet and simple on this layout, so that Millie would be the focus of my page.

The background of the Blue Fern 'Mercantile' pp was given a coat of Liquitex clear gesso, then I have used the chateau rose and bonjour butter magicals from the Lindys Tres Chic Set to create a soft watercolour effect, which once dry I masked over the top with a Prima stencil and Faber Castell gesso.
The beautiful Blue Fern Studios Jewelled chipboard frame and Spring Trinkets were coated with gesso, and some of the dangling pieces were cut off and rearranged.  I highlighted sections of the chipboard with the the bonjour butter magicals and the chipboard flowers with Kaisercraft snow white pearls.

I am loving the new Blue Fern Studios daisies.  They come in a pack of 9 pretty colours.  I have chosen the soft yellow and peach and teamed them with a couple of Green Tara mini blossoms.
To create my title, I cut out some of the words from the Blue Fern Studios 'Calling Cards' pp which I edged with a little of the Chateau Rose magicals and popped onto some foam tape.
Lastly I have cut up the Kaisercraft pearl strips and used them to frame my background and tie in with the pearl centres of my flowers.

The Scrapbook Store - Blue Fern Studios - Attic Charm DT Layout

Hi everyone,

Well it's a new month, which means I get to play with a new range of papers from The Scrapbook Store!!  This month I was sent the gorgeous Blue Fern Studios Attic Charm Collection in my parcel of goodies.  Such a beautiful and feminine range in pretty pastels which Blue Fern Studios do so well.  Pop in to the store if you would like to see the full range of these beautiful papers.
Love

A few months ago our beloved furbaby Millie passed away and I was heartbroken...  she had been part of our family for 13 years.  I still miss my little shadow terribly.

After quite a bit of convincing and pleading from my daughter, we now have not 1, but 2 new additions to our family!!  Two beautiful furbaby brothers called Finn and Poe who were rescue kittens and needed to stay together.  Recently I took a few pics of Brittany with Finn, and Poe and have used this one of Brit having a cuddle with Finn.

For my background, I have stenciled the the Attic Charm Generation pp using Viva Inka Gold rose quartz with the Kaisercraft Love Template.

I stamped around the edges with the Blue Fern Serendipity Medley stamp with Ranger Pink Peony archival ink, then stamped the butterfly section a couple of times.  How sweet are the new Gabrielle Pollaco stitched stamps sets.  I have used the love word from the Gabis Stitched Circles set which I stamped randomly using Ranger Sky Blue and Sap Green archival ink.

To create my flower clusters, I fussy cut floral sections from the Attic Charm Habadashery pp and layered on both sides of my frame with foam tape.  For a bit more depth I have glued some Prima Butter Seed Beads to the daisy centres.

The gorgeous Blue Fern Studios Bordeaux Layered frame was altered with Viva Inka Gold in Rose Quartz on the back piece and Viva Inka Gold Mint Green on the top piece.  To add a little more depth and softness I randomly stamped over with the Blue Fern Serendipity Medley stamp with Versamark ink, then embossed with Stampendous white embossing powder.
